Meet Your Host
I Am Nita Bee.

For thirty years, I gave everything I had to other people's missions.

I raised more than $30 million for organizations serving underserved communities. Beginning in 2011, I held C-suite leadership roles, including President and CEO positions at two different nonprofits. In 2012, I also built a beauty business from the ground up — one that grossed over $200,000 in its first year and ran successfully for twelve years, affording me the privilege of sending my daughter to the college of her choice.

I did this while raising my daughter as a single parent. I did this while caregiving for my father, who lives with vascular dementia. I did this working twelve-to-sixteen-hour days, often without the institutional support the work deserved.

My body finally said enough.

On October 31, 2025, I resigned. And I built From the Corner Office: Survival to Sovereignty because I know there are thousands of women just like me — women who deserve a platform that tells them the truth.

A Message for You
She Is Still In There.

Somewhere along the way — between the responsibilities, the roles, the expectations, and the weight — she got quiet. The little girl who had dreams that belonged entirely to her. She did not disappear. She has been waiting for you to come back for her.

The second half of your life is not about recovering from the first half. It is about finally becoming who she always knew you could be. She wants to celebrate your courage — the courage to show up as your most authentic self, to put yourself first without apology, and to manage your responsibilities from a place of fullness rather than depletion.

She is still in there. And she is so proud of you for coming back.

This Is Not Theory

I did not find my current fractional role by applying for it. I found it by staying in the room.

For years — while I was still working, and again after I resigned — I kept the coffee dates. Not to network in the transactional sense. To stay real with the people making decisions. So when the CEO of another nonprofit lost her Director of Programs to a new opportunity, she called me — not to fill a seat, but to serve as a bridge: rewrite the role, make the changes the organization needed, and hold it steady while she searched for a permanent replacement.

That bridge gave me income while I built my own business. Not instead of it. Alongside it.

That is not luck. That is thirty years of showing up for people, one conversation at a time, finally showing up for me. Networking is not a buzzword, and it is not optional. It is the difference between waiting to be chosen and already being known.

If I can do it, so can you.
